From Our Founder

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Artisan Stays.

I’ve called the Hudson Valley home for more than 30 years, and during that time I’ve come to appreciate just how special this region truly is. Within a short drive you can find mountain views, historic river towns, working farms, world-class restaurants, hiking trails, ski slopes, art galleries, and quiet places where time seems to slow down. Each season brings something different — the colors of autumn, the stillness of winter, the renewal of spring, and the long evenings of summer — all within reach of New York City, yet far enough away to feel like a true escape.

Over the years, travel in the Hudson Valley has changed in many ways. What has not changed is what people are looking for when they come here. They want a place where they can relax, recharge, and enjoy their surroundings without distraction. They deserve a space that feels clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. And they want to know that the people behind their stay genuinely care about the experience they are having.

That philosophy is what led us to create Artisan Stays.

Our guests come from nearby and far away — New York City, Long Island, northern New Jersey, and beyond — all looking for a place to slow down for a few days and enjoy what the Hudson Valley has to offer. We take that responsibility seriously. Every property we manage is prepared with the same level of care and attention we would want for our own family.

The same approach guides how we work with property owners. Some owners live locally, while others are entrusting their Hudson Valley home to someone from a distance. In either case, our goal is the same: thoughtful stewardship, consistent standards, and a long-term approach that protects both the property and the experience it provides.

Whether you’re planning a visit, considering a direct booking, or exploring management services for your home, we’re grateful that you are here. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you, and to help you experience the Hudson Valley in a way that feels comfortable, memorable, and true to the place itself.

Warm regards,
